Paula Weiman (they/them) joined the ASH Literary team in 2023 as an Agent after a career in literary scouting and educational publishing. Based in New York and with a background in foreign rights, they bring an international approach to selling their clients’ work. Their goal is to help as many children as possible to see their experiences represented on the page for the first time.

Paula is interested in: MG Contemporary, YA Suspense, YA Thriller, YA Contemporary, YA Fantasy, and more. Please visit their manuscript wishlist for an in-depth description of what they’re looking for.

“Across these genres and age categories, I welcome stories about marginalized characters and stories written by marginalized authors. I especially invite Jewish stories.”

As always, please review the agency’s submission guidelines before you submit.

Please send the first three chapters of your manuscript and include a note in your query letter if your manuscript includes depictions of sexual assault or dead children. Paula can be queried through QueryManager or Submissions sent elsewhere and those sent to both QM and the email simultaneously will be deleted unread.”
